As far back as I can remember I’ve always wanted to style hair. I can remember rolling my mom’s hair as a little girl that sparked a curiosity in me about hair. At the age of 10 years, having to French braid my brothers hair into a style for the May Day festival that was celebrated in the U.S. Virgin Islands, sparked my interests in hair styling even more. Back then Afros and French braids were very popular. We (my brothers and I) didn’t know anyone personally that braided then, so I was unanimously assigned to be their personal hairdresser. All I can recall is when we arrived at the festival; my brothers had some of the sharpest braids to be seen.

I had three brothers and no sisters at that time. When my fourth brother was born I was a little disappointed because it was not a girl that I can dress up in pink dresses and style her hair with every color barrette. So I decided to dress my third brother up in girls clothes and braid his hair so he would look like the sister I always wanted.

During my first year in college someone close to me asked me what I really wanted to do as a career and my answer was to be a hairstylist. I made a decision to attend beauty school at Marinello’s in the city of Inglewood and later graduating from Pomona Cosmetology.

Upon receiving my license, I started my new and long awaited career with Fantastic Sam’s in the city of Upland, Ca. While working there I received extensive work experience in hair cutting, permanent waves, hair coloring, highlights, and color weaving.

J.C. Penney’s allowed me to gain further experience with wet sets, updo’s, hair coloring and press and curls.

Moving on to setting up my own business further allowed me to build a colorful and large clientele. I was able to broaden my talents by hair weaves, corrective color, more style cutting, healthy hair care and educating my clients on nutrition for the whole body. I also promote healthy home maintenance for the hair after leaving the salon.

I believe with my love to style hair and my creativity, together we can maintain or create a new and fresh look for you.
